Whilst you will be based in either our Cardiff or Reading office we are currently working remotely and so as long as you would be willing to come the office on occasion, you may not necessarily need to be currently based there.   You will be a core part of the team and able to access the technology, support and resources you require.

Our Commercial and Charities business group operates across all of our regions to provide seamless service to our clients no matter where they are based.  The practice is very busy and is looking to hire at Associate or Senior Associate Level for either our Cardiff or Reading office, supporting the wider group.  Joining us means you will have exposure to a wide range of interesting, high quality work and excellent opportunities to develop your technical knowledge and commercial skill set.

You will be advising on a wide range of commercial projects matters related to leisure (unitary and district council projects including DBOM), local authority procurement, PPP arrangements, infrastructure frameworks, transportation projects and technology - including broadband and telecommunications.   You will provide comprehensive, strategic and commercial legal advice in connection with the development of such projects to ensure our clients have an accurate understanding of their obligations and rights throughout the project lifespan.  You will draw up required documentation and negotiate points to ensure a workable agreement that serves all parties.

You will be able to rely on support from team members across the firm.  Our lawyer teams are also well supported by our Business Services Finance, HR, IT and Risk functions.

Skills / Experience Required

You will be an experienced lawyer, able to work with limited supervision and with a strong background in good quality commercial contract work.  You will be experienced in structuring and implementing PPPs  across a range of sectors and in providing oversight to clients as the projects advance.

You will have practiced at a firm well regarded in this area of law and be looking to move your career to the next level.
