This role is based within the Commercial Recoveries team at our Southampton office.  You will manage debt recovery and/or return of good cases.  Practical training will be given to you to assist you with your tasks which will include issuing Court proceedings, negotiating with Defendants, working on pre-litigation collections strategies and obtaining and enforcing County Court Judgments, the successful candidate will be a proactive member of a team with a can do attitude.  

Skills / Experience Required

*       Legal background/previous experience within a law firm, although this does not have to be within debt recovery

*       Team management experience an advantage

*       Must be willing to undertake a credit check process

*       Will require a driving license and own car

*       Good GCSEs and/or A Levels

*       IT literate – proven Microsoft Excel experience at intermediate level

*       Negotiation skills

*       Attention to detail

*       Strong team player with the ability to work on own initiative

*       Enthusiastic and positive attitude

*       Confident communicator with an excellent telephone manner

*       Ability to work in a fast paced environment

*       Good understanding of client service internally and externally.  Committed to rigour around treating all clients fairly

*       Focused on attributing dedication, determination and loyalty to colleagues, clients and communities

*       Able to demonstrate continuous development and diversity in thinking
