We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead projects and programmes from initiation to successful conclusion.  This role will be integral to Blake Morgan achieving its operational and strategic objectives, with the delivery of the portfolio of projects and programmes key to the success of the Firm.  The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering the required outputs from projects and programmes, using appropriate methodology and tools, to ensure that the expected outcomes are achieved on time, to cost and the expected quality.

This role can be based at any of the offices across Blake Morgan's network and regular travel to other offices will be expected as required.  There is flexibility for this role to be either full time or part time (on a basis of 4 days per week).

Typical Workload

*       Lead projects and programmes from initiation to successful conclusion.  Projects / programmes may include business projects with or without IT components, as well as technology only projects (eg. infrastructure refresh).

*       Effectively engage and communicate with project / programme stakeholders, including third parties where applicable.

*       Manage projects and programmes using appropriate methodology and tools.

*       Develop and maintain realistic and up to date project / programme plans.

*       Effectively manage change, risks, issues, dependencies and assumptions throughout the project / programme lifecycle.

*       Monitor and control project / programme resources and expenditure against cost, time and resource budgets.

*       Follow governance and control processes, recommending improvements to process where applicable to better facilitate project delivery.

*       Collaborate with change managers and benefits managers as applicable to ensure that the project / programme benefits will be able to be realised.

Skills / Experience Required

*       Relevant professional project and/or programme management qualifications preferred

*       Experience in a legal Firm would be an advantage

*       Effective influencing and communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information via a variety of different methods to varying audiences

*       Effective prioritisation and organisation of own workload as well as the work required within and across projects/programmes to maintain efficient working practices

*       Effective management of risks, issues and project change control

*       Highly competent user of MS Office products

*       Organised and calm in working to high pressure deadlines

*       Motivating project team members to deliver to required standards and time

*       Collaborative leadership style and willing to adapt when working with multi-functional teams

*       Team player who can work closely with people at all levels and challenge others to think on behalf of the business

*       Developing meaningful relationships with stakeholders and managing expectations

*       Understanding of GDPR and Information Security considerations, particularly as they relate to IT delivery

*       At least 5 years' experience leading projects and programmes in complex, multi-stakeholder business environments including third party involvement

*       Experience leading business projects, not just technology projects

*       Agile project delivery experience would be beneficial

*       Committed to rigour around treating all clients fairly

*       Focused on attributing dedication, determination and loyalty to colleagues, clients and communities

*       Able to demonstrate continuous development and diversity in thinking
