We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Solicitor to join our team. The team currently comprises 3 people and will offer an excellent opportunity to work with leading individuals within the Firm. The right candidate will have access to excellent training, both within the team and also as part of our structured in house programmes for lawyers. The position is Cardiff based, with occasional travel to our London, Reading and Southampton offices and offers exciting opportunities for an ambitious and career minded individual to develop their skills and to build their career within a leading law firm.

You will be given access to a portfolio of high quality and rewarding finance work both leading and supporting on transactions. We offer plenty of client exposure and the opportunity to develop a strong network of client relationships.

You will be able to rely on support from team members across the firm.  Our lawyer teams are also well supported by our Business Services Finance, HR, IT and Risk functions.

We are currently working remotely and will continue to work predominantly in this way on an informal basis until government guidelines change and likely beyond.  So long as you would be able to come to one of our offices at least twice per week, client and team requirements depending, you will be able to undertake this role.   You will be a core part of the team and able to access the technology, support and resources that you require.

Our Banking and Finance team comprises specialist lawyers able to resource transactions from the simplest to the most complex. Our Cardiff team advises on major aspects of domestic and international banking and acts for a wide variety of lenders including clearing banks, investment and merchant banks, mezzanine and non-institutional funders.  We also act for borrowers including housing associations, colleges and universities, private and public companies. The team operates across a wide range of disciplines including corporate and transactional banking, management buy-outs and buy-ins, trade finance, asset finance, insolvency and restructuring, and financial services regulation.

Skills / Experience Required

The firm is interested in candidates with 2- 4 years high calibre banking and finance experience, acquired at a leading national or regional law firm.  Exceptional in-house candidates will also be considered.
